Delivering Value Across Every Phase

The Beginning of Our Journey
Incorporation of E&P O&M Services Sdn Bhd (EPOMS), a wholly owned subsidiary of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd on 28th March 2012.

First Secured Contract
In 2013, EPOMS secured its first contract for O&M services with Petrofac Malaysia Limited’s Cendor Phase 2 (CP2) FPSO, launched its Head Office at Hampshire Place, Kuala Lumpur, and initiated a nationwide assessment for its BTEC Certification Programme in October.

BTEC Programme & Operating In Deepwater
In July 2014, 51 EPOMS BTEC candidates graduated with Level 2 competency from the TAS Institute of Oil and Gas in Sabah, while EPOMS secured its first full O&M contract for the Bertam Project with Lundin Malaysia and was also awarded the Gumusut-Kakap (GK) O&M Contract by Sabah Shell, marking its first East Malaysia service for the region’s first high-complexity Deepwater FPS.

Expanded Services & ISO Certification
In 2015, EPOMS was awarded the Sepat O&M Contract—its first to include procurement and warehousing for PCSB—established warehouse and logistics facilities at Kemaman Supply Base on 1 October, achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification on 30 October, and formed the EPOMS Roving Team to support offshore operations.

Another Step To Be A World Class
In 2016, EPOMS made its debut in industry exhibitions at the Offshore Technology Conference Asia in Kuala Lumpur, secured its first Asset Transfer and Field Operations Management Services (FOMS) contract for Berantai with Vestigo Petroleum, enhanced its KSB warehouse and logistics facilities for the Berantai and Tembikai projects on 1 October, and participated in its first regional exhibition at IPTC 2016 in Bangkok in collaboration with PETRONAS Strategic Communications.

Towards Betterment
Between 2017 and 2018, EPOMS received the "OSH Gold Class I Award Winner 2017" from MSOSH and the "Excellent MPM Award for Safety, Health & Environment (EMAS) 2017" from Petrofac Malaysia Limited, achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification on 3 August 2018, secured new contracts for Larut Platform FOMS with Vestigo Petroleum and Sepat Phase 2A O&M with PCSB-PMA, became a certified Ship Manager by the Malaysia Marine Department in March 2018, and participated in the Malaysia Upstream Project Conference (UPEC) 2018 hosted by MPM in Kuala Lumpur from 21–22 November.

A Stepping-stone to Success
In 2019, EPOMS was awarded the “MSOSH OSH Gold Merit Award Winner for 2018” by MSOSH, secured contract extensions for Vestigo FOMS, Sepat, Floatel, and Puteri—including expanded services for Abu preservation—participated in the Asia Oil & Gas Conference in Kuala Lumpur from 23–25 June, signed a technology collaboration Memorandum of Collaboration with Telekom Malaysia on 24 June, secured three new O&M contracts with PFLNG2, FPSO Helang (Yinson Lavender Operations), and Jitang (Vestigo Petroleum), and participated in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) from 9–12 November.

Moving Forward
In 2020, EPOMS contributed RM25,000 to MERCY Malaysia’s COVID-19 Pandemic Fund through voluntary staff salary donations to support healthcare and marginalized communities, received the Malaysia Registration Certificate for its MyEPOMSX integrated database system, institutionalized capability with 23 dual-skill technicians and 16 professional certifications, achieved an impressive asset uptime of 97.78%, was rated ‘excellent’ by 7 out of 9 clients in its Client Satisfaction Survey, and saw its Larut Operation Team honored with the 2020 Field Excellence Performance Award from Vestigo Petroleum for outstanding HSE, production uptime, and cost savings.

A Landmark Year of Growth, Innovation, and Excellence
In a year of strong achievements, EPOMS successfully secured four new contracts—Gumusut Kakap (GK) O&M, PFLNG Supply Base Management, Provision of O&M Manpower for SKA, and Provision of Asset Management and Equipment Remote Monitoring Services for both Malaysia and International Assets. Additionally, three contract extensions were secured for PFLNG2, Vestigo’s FOMS, and Bertam. EPOMS also explored emerging opportunities through collaboration with the Centre of Excellence (COE) on PROTEAN and with Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) on the digitalization of predictive maintenance, reliability, and integrity. The year also marked the establishment of the Operations & Maintenance Excellence Management System (OMEMS)—a systematic, collaborative framework to enhance the delivery of safe, capable, reliable, and cost-effective O&M solutions for upstream oil and gas production facilities. Notably, 11 out of 14 projects were rated ‘Excellent’ by clients in the EPOMS Client Satisfaction Survey 2021.

Nurturing Communities, Protecting Nature
EPOMS demonstrated its commitment to community and environmental stewardship by contributing RM3,000 worth of dry rations to 81 families in Bintulu through Sumbangan Ikhlas Ramadan, raising RM7,250 in collaboration with the Young Professional Club (YPC) S&C to support welfare homes in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor via Sinar Kasih Ramadan, donating 100 COVID-19 Protection Kits to frontliners at PPV Bukit Jalil, planting 100 mangrove saplings along the Kertih River through the Sentuhan Alam initiative with PETRONAS Carigali and the Malaysian Nature Society, and supporting 60 fishing families in Kertih with dry rations through the Sahabat Maritim program in partnership with PETRONAS Carigali-PMA and the Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency.

Building Partnerships, Culture & Impact
In 2023, EPOMS fostered strategic growth through major collaboration signings with industry leaders like UTP, STATS (UK), THREE60 Energy, and BPE Engineering. Cultural and CSR initiatives—including Estetika Raya, donation drives, team building, and career fairs—strengthened internal unity and community outreach. The year also marked brand visibility milestones with sponsorships at prominent events like SOGCE and OGA 2023.

Start Strong with EPOMS
In 2024, EPOMS achieved significant milestones, securing its operational footprint through the award of two Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) with PETRONAS and a key 3-year pipeline In-Line Isolation Services contract, alongside winning crucial Operation Engineering Support and additional engineering projects from ExxonMobil and offshore production work with Mubadala Energy. Operationally, the company demonstrated technical excellence by pioneering the first Inline Weld Test Tool in Asia and executing inline isolation services on the Larut-A Platform 3 days ahead of schedule with zero incidents, which contributed to a remarkable safety record of 1.5 Million LTI-Free hours on the Larut Project. Furthermore, the company reinforced its commitment to compliance by achieving SIRIM Re-certification and the "Most Improved Contract Compliance Index (CCI)," while also championing sustainability through the launch of the Eco-Roots Initiative at FRIM, rounding out a year of strong performance in contract acquisition, operational efficiency, and safety.

A Year of Safe Growth and Technical Excellence
EPOMS concludes 2025 celebrating a year of exceptional achievements driven by the dedication of our entire team, marked by superior safety standards, strategic expansion, and technical innovation. The year saw us set new industry benchmarks and secure critical growth contracts, beginning in January when the Jitang Offshore and Onshore Team achieved a monumental 10 million Barrels Crude Oil Offtake with Zero LTI and Zero Complaints. Operational efficiency was further demonstrated by the Larut-A Shutdown achieving Early Back-On-Line in February and the BRT Shutdown being completed Ahead of Schedule and Incident-Free in June. On the strategic front, we significantly expanded our footprint with the Mitsui/EPOMS JV securing the Malaysia Pipeline Gig in May. EPOMS reinforced its field operator status by securing new contracts for the Dulang Field in July and Berantai in August. Our successful year was powerfully capped by the demonstration of technical leadership in September, when EPOMS secured and executed the First IQTT Job in Asia at the MUDA Processing Platform.
